I presented the paper 'A queueing capacity-based operating capacity model for multimodal port systems' at the 2025 TRB Annual Meeting. I was thrilled to receive a podium presentation slot for our work, which was a collaboration between the US Army Corps of Engineers (ERDC) and the University of Texas at Austin. Returning to the INFORMS Annual Meeting, this time in Seattle, I presented my work on error bounds for stochastic user equilibrium traffic assignment models. I was fortunate to speak at the Transportation Science and Logistics (TSL) invited session—an amazing experience. I spent a bright Saturday volunteering with neighbors to clean up Austin’s parks—a heartwarming reminder of community spirit. UT Austin ITS/ITE/WTS teamed up with the Capital Area Section of ITE (CASITE). As the Social Service Chair of UT Austin ITS/ITE/WTS, I helped organize this event. It was a great experience to engage with fellow members and volunteers.
Extremely excited to begin my PhD at the University of Texas at Austin in the Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering. I was awarded a 4-year graduate school fellowship in addition to GRA/TA responsibilities for my funding. I graduated with a B.S. (Research) in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, with first class distinction. I was honored to receive the institute gold medal for achieving the highest CGPA in my major. I am deeply grateful to my parents, friends, and professors for their support throughout this journey. As a Mitacs Globalink Research Intern, I spent a summer in Canada at the University of Quebec’s Department of Management. I worked on reverse logistics network design for wood recycling facilities, and visited Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa, Toronto, and Niagara Falls—cherished memories with friends and colleagues.
